PRN Radiology Technician

SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital is seeking dedicated radiology technicians to join our Imaging and Diagnostics department on a PRN basis. This role involves performing x-rays of various parts of the human body for diagnostic purposes and supporting the imaging team.

Your Responsibilities:

• Explain procedures to patients and provide educational materials.
• Safely transport and position patients for radiology exams.
• Follow strict radiation safety guidelines to protect patients.
• Prepare and administer contrast media as needed.
• Monitor patients during procedures and report any abnormal activity.
• Submit high-quality images to our PACS system promptly.
• Ensure all equipment is in working order and report any malfunctions.
• Maintain cleanliness and order within the department.
• Perform limited CT procedures as required in emergencies.

Qualifications:

• Completion of a Radiology Technology program.
• ARRT-R certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk constantly, lift and move patients, and perform administrative tasks.
• Frequent visual and auditory engagement in patient care.
