Slalom Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Principal Consultant to join its Business Advisory Services. Qualified candidates will be passionate about corporate strategy, strategic planning, business analysis, financial analysis, and program management. They are strategic advisors skilled in driving business growth by connecting products to business outcomes, optimizing margins through revenue and cost strategies, defining and delivering client value, and leveraging extensive product management experience.
What You'll Do
- Business Analysis:
- Strong problem solver, able to breakdown complex problems into projects or initiatives to enable solution development.
- Has a process for analyzing common business challenges and can articulate to customers best practices and approach.
- Able to drive decision-making and improve organizational performance.
- Corporate Strategy:
- Ability to translate a company's mission, vision into strategic objectives (measurable and actionable) to guide a company's long-term growth.
- Can assess scope and structure guardrails, beliefs, or values that focus on core competencies of the business.
- Relative understanding of how to assess market and competitive forces impacting a company's strategy.
- Strategic Planning:
- Ability to see the bigger picture and align initiatives or program objectives to strategic goals of an organization.
- Experience setting program direction, defining objectives, and identifying KPIs to measure success.
- Financial Analysis:
- Has familiarity and understanding of key financial performance indicators (e.g., margin, cost structure, common monetization models, etc.) and can model impacts to business models in order to drive to preferred outcomes.
- Program Management:
- Experience breaking down corporate initiatives into programs, setting objectives, building teams, and identifying KPIs. Ability to guide teams and stakeholders to achieving program goals and KPIs.
- Can manage budget allocations and capacity across projects to manage efficiencies.
- Identifies tools and processes to optimize operation performance.
- Relationship Building:
- Experience managing relationships with diverse stakeholders, including employees and customers ensuring their needs and expectations are considered in strategic decisions.
- Highly adaptable, able to interact and represent the priorities of different stakeholder groups.
- Able to provide feedback that is constructive and demonstrates and understanding of others.
- Extensive experience working for consulting companies, with a demonstrated ability to navigate dynamic environments, manage cross-functional teams, and guide decision-making to achieve business success.
- Ability to break down complex business challenges, align initiatives with strategic goals, and translate vision into measurable, actionable objectives.
- Strong understanding of financial performance indicators, cost structures, and market dynamics, with the capability to model business impacts and drive optimal outcomes.
- Proven experience in managing corporate initiatives, setting clear objectives, defining KPIs, and optimizing operations through resource and budget management.
- Exceptional ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, provide constructive feedback, and ensure alignment with organizational priorities.

Compensation and Benefits
Slalom prides itself on helping team members thrive in their work and life. Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range is $133,000 to $206,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
