Planner Scheduler

The Planner Scheduler is responsible for creating and maintaining production schedules while ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of necessary materials. This involves analyzing inventory levels, forecasting demand, creating purchase orders, managing supplier relationships, and resolving procurement issues that could impact production. The role requires close collaboration with production, engineering, and sales teams to meet delivery goals.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain production schedules.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials.
• Analyze inventory levels and forecast demand.
• Create and manage purchase orders.
• Manage and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
• Resolve procurement issues that could impact production.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and sales teams to meet delivery goals.

Essential Skills

• 2-5 years of experience in a related role.
• Experience in inventory control, materials scheduling, and production planning.
• Proficiency with ERP systems; experience with NetSuite is a plus.
• Strong background in procurement and supply chain management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work in a chaotic environment while maintaining composure.
• Openness to learning the buying aspect if lacking experience.

Work Environment

• The work environment is situated in a very old building, built in 1905, which needs improvements.
• The team is small and reports to the production supervisor.
• The role offers flexible shifts from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no weekend work.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
