Pharmacy Technician

Overview: Join our team as a Pharmacy Technician, where you will assist the pharmacist in providing exceptional service and care to patients while adhering to state and federal regulations.

• Customer Engagement: Welcome customers and patients with a friendly demeanor, offer assistance with products and services, and effectively resolve any issues to ensure satisfaction.
• Operational Support: Help manage pharmacy systems by entering accurate patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, and addressing any potential interactions.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Pharmacy Manager and pharmacists to maintain a smooth workflow and assist with training other pharmacy staff when needed.
• Error Reporting: Promptly report any prescription errors and follow all policies related to quality improvement.
• Inventory Management: Involve yourself in ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, maintaining an organized and stocked pharmacy area.

Qualifications:

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment, particularly with Walgreens.
• Good math and computer skills are a plus for accurate prescription filling and pharmacy system management.
• PTCB certification is preferred but must be earned for promotion.
