Payroll Specialist

Compiles payroll data, entry of data, and reconciliation of errors, prepares payroll reporting data for the payroll analyst to maintain payroll records.

Essential Functions:

Researches required employee information using available resources.
Handles and resolves employee payroll grievances.
Ability to identify and escalate priority issues.
Provides internal customer service by obtaining employee information and guiding towards a resolution.
Must have the ability to multi-task.
Ability to recognize when follow-up is required with internal customer.
Contact business or private individuals by phone.
Must have strong listening skills.
May be asked to perform various other clerical tasks.
Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.

Qualifications:

Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy environment, and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products. Also, non-public contact positions may be required to enter public areas from time to time, in connection with their duties, and may be subject to the same environment.

Education:

High School Diploma required.

Experience:

Minimum two years of phone or customer service related experience. Payroll experience preferred.

Abilities:

Knowledge of computer software; MS Excel, Access, and Project, Infinium.
Attention to detail and numerical skills.
Excellent communication skills and attitude.
