Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides essential nursing care for residents in a long-term care setting under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. This role requires knowledge of nursing principles relevant to resident care, the ability to perform testing and provides comprehensive care to enhance health, comfort, and safety. Responsibilities include administering medications, documenting interactions, and collaborating effectively within an interdisciplinary care team.

This is a weekend position every Friday and Saturday.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program; an Associate degree is preferred.
• If IV therapy skills are required, completion of a Board-approved AASPN program or IV Therapy course is necessary.
• Must have supervised clinical experience or a minimum of 400 hours of LPN experience from another facility.
• Possess an unencumbered LPN license and maintain required competencies and certifications.
• Complete necessary annual continuing education and competency training.
