Position Type: Part-Time Average Hours: Fewer than 30 hours per week Starting Wage: $17.50 per hour. Wage increases are available: Year 2 - $18.00, Year 3 - $18.50, Year 4 - $18.50, Year 5 - $19.50.
Duties and Responsibilities: Your key contributions will include:
- Collaborating with team members and communicating important information to your supervisor.
- Upholding the confidentiality and security of documents and data.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Cashier Responsibilities:
- Processing customer purchases efficiently while maintaining cleanliness and organization in the store.
- Providing exceptional customer service by assisting customers throughout their shopping experience.
- Offering feedback to management regarding products, inventory losses, and any operational issues.
- Participating in inventory counts and monitoring inventory accuracy.
- Adhering to cash handling policies to minimize losses.
Stocker Responsibilities:
- Stocking shelves with products while ensuring fresh items are readily available.
- Following merchandising plans to create attractive display setups.
- Organizing new inventory while managing packaging waste efficiently.
- Operating machinery safely and adhering to safety procedures.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store.
- Ability to stock merchandise from receiving to shelving, placing items weighing up to 45 pounds on various shelves.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Excellent customer service skills and capability to adhere to cleaning standards.
- Understanding of company policies and procedures.
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work well in a team or independently.
- Effective time management skills.
- Knowledge of the company's products and services.
- Ability to operate a cash register accurately.
- Must comply with state and local regulations for selling alcoholic beverages.
- Stockers must be available for early morning shifts starting as early as 5:00 a.m.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a retail environment is a plus.
- A combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge.
