Accounting Specialist

Duties & Responsibilities: Code and process large, detailed invoices including mobile device services each month. Post LLC company transactions to general ledger accounts. Perform bank reconciliation monthly. Code and process vendor invoices for payment by making comparisons to purchase order and/or material receipts to verify quantities, prices, payment terms, and freight charges. Compute discounts and make sales/use tax determinations. Resolve discrepancies on invoices or reports by interfacing with other employees, subcontractors, and clients. Prepare and submit credit applications to vendors. Prepare and process annual 1099 forms for all companies. Prepare and complete annual business tax filings for all companies. Serve as backup for filing. Prepare special reports and complete other projects as directed.

Knowledge, Experience & Competencies: Associate degree in business, major in Accounting plus a minimum of 2 years of work experience in accounting. Equivalent combinations of training and experience may be substituted. Knowledge of general accounting, auditing, and invoicing. Ability to always keep sensitive payroll information confidential. Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Good computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet-based applications. Ability to operate basic office equipment including computer, printer, copier, fax, scanner, adding machine, postage meter, and telephone.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
