Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital needs a Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist for the Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences.

Please list any anticipated procedures/surgeries the provider will be required to perform and anticipated volumes: Ultrasound interpretation; fetal diagnostic procedures; preterm labor, hypertensive disorders, diabetes and placental abnormalities consultations; consult on medically complex deliveries

Description of Work Assignment

The MFM locums physician will provide high-risk obstetrical care and consultative services in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The role includes:

• Supervision and interpretation of perinatal diagnostic studies (e.g., ultrasound, biophysical profiles, Doppler studies)
• Prenatal consultations for complex maternal and fetal conditions
• Inpatient consultations and co-management of high-risk obstetric patients
• Participation in multidisciplinary care planning (e.g., for maternal cardiac disease, fetal anomalies, etc.)
• Supervision of sonographers and collaboration with Ob/Gyn residents, fellows, and APPs

There is no expectation for primary obstetric deliveries or routine gynecologic care. This position will be Ambulatory only.

Breakdown of Clinic Days/Sessions and/or OR Days: potentially 5 days/week covering ATU

Schedule of Days/Times Needed to Work/ Shift Hours: 8-5

On call? YES

Patient Load: 130-150 scans/day

Board Status Requirement (BC/BE): ABOG certified

Is there additional support staff? Nurses, ultrasound techs, MSAs

Is the provider working solo or with other providers? If so, with whom? Will be expected to work with physician members of MFM, sonographers, genetic counselors

Advanced Practice Providers? If yes, is the locums provider responsible for them? Yes the division has an APN but the locums would not be part of the collaborative agreement with the APN
