Position Information:

LPG Obstetrics & Gynecology is seeking a laborist physician BE/BC in Obstetrics & Gynecology to join their busy team. This practice consists of fifteen physicians, sixteen CNMs and three APRNs. The physicians perform deliveries out of our Healthpark Medical Center with privileges at Golisano Childrens Hospital of Southwest Florida and Lee Memorial Hospital. Together the practice delivers on average over 200 babies per month. Schedule is 7on/7off from 7a to 7p.

Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Perform Deliveries - vaginal, C-section as primary or assisting.
2. Perform Gyn/OB surgeries such as Laparoscopic ectopic pregnancy management, D&Cs, circumcisions among other surgical procedures.
3. Perform antepartum and postpartum rounds.
4. Support and consult with APPs via phone/in person and cosign notes related to rounds and management.
5. Cover ER calls, Gyn consults, floor calls and Epic in baskets.
6. Receive phone calls from OB triage and provide disposition on such patients.
7. Perform GYN consultations, assist in complex GYN surgeries as needed (ranging from hysterectomies to laparoscopic surgery).
8. Participate in GYN Call Pool.
9. Participate in Lee Physician Group and Health Park Medical Center Meetings such as monthly LPG Dept Mtg, Quarterly Hospital OBGYN Dept Mtg and other relevant meetings.
