Emergency Department Clinical Supervisor

The Emergency Department Clinical Supervisor assists with the oversight of the monthly staff schedule to maintain adequate daily staffing levels. Participates in staff development/evaluation of competency, performance reviews, and counseling. Actively participates in the orientation, in-service training and continuing education of all personnel; maintains accurate and complete competency files. In collaboration with the manager, works with Medical Staff and other departments to ensure coordination and integration of clinical processes to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Two (2) years of recent department specific experience required
One (1) year of recent charge nurse, supervisor expertise in ED required
Registered Nurse with current California RN license
BSN preferred
BLS (AHA) certification
ACLS (AHA) certification
PALS (AHA) certification
CEN/CCRN encouraged
CPI certification within 90 days of hire
