A hospital employed community-based practice in Hartford County is currently seeking a licensed Neurologist for a promising position with their growing team.
About the Opportunity
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: Standard business
- Setting: Outpatient except when on call
- Call: Rotate every 7 days but there are less than 10 inpatient consults per week/light weekends and nights
The Neurologist will
- Diagnosing complex medical problems by referring to a patient's history, examining them, and conducting neurological tests
- Counseling patients on neurological disorders and their background
- Ordering neurological tests and interpreting the results of neuroimaging studies
- Prescribing and/or administering treatment and medication
- Monitoring the behavioral and cognitive side effects of treatment and medication
- Ordering supportive care services for patients
- Participating in neuroscience research activities.
- Acting as a liaison with medical professionals in the community and hospitals
- Keeping up-to-date with neurological developments, treatments, and medication
- Current unrestricted CT medical license
- Board Certified/Eligible in Neurology (MD/DO)
- DEA / BLS / ACLS
- Ability to read EEGs is a plus
