Engineering Manager

Will manage engineering, construction, and design assignments on various municipal MDOT & water/wastewater/stormwater projects in Metro Detroit. Will direct engineers and technical support staff in the review and preparation of plans and specs for these projects. Will lead from planning and procurement through startup and construction. Will prepare cost estimates, perform construction monitoring, and coordinate field activities. Will review proposed contracts to determine significant parameters, time schedules, etc. Will monitor fees and budgets and report problems to the appropriate Dept managers. Main office will be in Waterford but this person would go to 1-12 different municipalities throughout Metro Detroit, and could also work out of their Detroit office as well, but would be asked to be in Waterford multiple times per week.

MUST: Bachelors in Civil Engineering 10 plus years of experience with municipal projects, ideally road and/or water/wastewater or other city projects Project Management experience Experience with evaluation, planning design, and construction of these types of projects PE BONUS: Hydraulic Modeling experience Pump Station experience MDOT Projectwise experience TAMC knowledge Civil 3D knowledge

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
