  Ford Racing is looking for an experienced, talented, and highly motivated Motorsports Powertrain Engine Lead Engineer to join our Global Motorsports department.

  n

  Candidates will have the opportunity to work in a highly dynamic environment, developing cutting edge powertrains to race around the world.

What you'll do...

n
• n

  Design and development of combustion engine systems and components for Ford Racing Motorsports programs. These will include race applications as well as "one-off" high-performance demonstration vehicles.

  n

• n

  Lead engine development projects including the management of schedules, budgets, deliverables and meetings

  n
n
• n

  Prepare and present technical information covering the design and development of engine components and sub-systems

  n
n
• n

  Create overall engine & component test plans and lead the acquisition/processing of data

  n
n
• n

  Coordinate engine builds and logistics

  n
n
• n

  Work with suppliers, race teams and sanctioning organizations concerning engine specifications and regulations

  n
n
• n

  Capable of working hours which include late evenings, nights, weekends and traveling to meet company goals

  n

You'll have...

• n

  Bachelors degree in engineering

  n
n
• n

  3+ years of engine and/or driveline design and/or testing experience

  n
n
• n

  3+ years of experience in at least one of the following engineering disciplines

  n
n
• n

  Computer Aided Design – 3D models / 2D drawings

  n
n
• n

  1D Engine Simulation

  n
n
• n

  CFD

  n
n
• n

  FEA

  n
n
• n

  Kinematic / Dynamic Analysis

  n
n
• n

  Strong communication skills and competency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

• n

  Strong overall knowledge of powertrain and vehicle systems

  n
n
• n

  Knowledge of manufacturing processes and capabilities (machining, fabrication, casting, etc)

  n

• n

  This is a hybrid position located in either Concord, North Carolina or Dearborn, Michigan.
