Low Voltage Technician

Trillium Construction is now seeking Low Voltage Technicians in Omaha!

We are seeking an experienced Low Voltage Lead Technician to oversee and execute the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems, including security, fire alarms, audio/visual, telecommunications, and networking.

This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and clients. Work will primarily be remote with travel to job sites throughout Omaha, Des Moines, and surrounding regions.

Pay rate is $29 $35 (based on experience) plus a gas card is provided. Schedule is MondayFriday, 40 hours/week expected.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead low voltage system installations, upgrades, and repairs
• Perform site walkthroughs and attend project meetings (on-site or virtual)
• Utilize Contractor Foreman app for project documents, schedules, and deliverables

Oversee and execute turnkey installations, including:

• Structured Cabling
• Access Control
• Video Surveillance
• Intrusion Systems
• Nurse Call, Wander Management, Infant/Patient Security
• DAS - Paging, Intercom, Sound Masking

-Read blueprints, identify cabling pathways, and ensure compliance with BICSI standards

-Maintain accurate documentation (time sheets, logs, materials tracking, project summaries)

-Supervise and train junior technicians/apprentices

Professional Skills:

• Proficient in structured cabling, fiber optic deployment, termination, splicing, and testing
• Current knowledge of low voltage codes and industry standards
• Strong communication skills with ability to interact at all organizational levels
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Professional demeanor, excellent customer service mindset
• Strong organizational and documentation skills

Qualifications:

• 3+ years' experience in at least one of the following: Structured Cabling, Video Surveillance, Access Control, Nurse Call
• Self-starter with initiative and willingness to learn new systems
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Willingness to travel regionally and out-of-state (per diem provided)
