Lead Electrical Engineer Power System Analysis
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Electrical Engineer with a strong background in Power System Analysis to join our growing engineering team. This position offers the opportunity to take on a leadership role with a clear path toward Director of Engineering as the firm expands. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with proven leadership skills and a passion for mentoring the next generation of engineers.
What You'll Do
- Perform detailed power system analyses, including short circuit, load flow, coordination, arc flash, and voltage drop calculations.
- Develop electrical system models using software such as ETAP, SKM Power Tools, or EasyPower.
- Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and project managers to deliver integrated solutions.
- Provide quality control and peer reviews for electrical designs and studies.
- Mentor and train junior engineers, offering guidance on best practices, analysis methods, and project execution.
- Lead client meetings, contribute to proposal development, and represent the team as a technical expert.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 7+ years of electrical design experience with a strong focus on power systems for commercial buildings.
- Proficiency in SKM Power Tools, ETAP, or EasyPower.
- PE license or EIT with the ability to obtain PE shortly after hire.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to mentor junior staff.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
