Job Title: Lead A&P Mechanic

Pay: For the right person up to $60/hr including per diem split



Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead A&P Mechanic to join our team at a Washington County Airport-based 135 operator specializing in Learjet models. This role offers the opportunity to lead and support a team of maintenance technicians while ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  Lead and support maintenance technicians during assigned shifts to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance.

  Perform and oversee scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on company and customer aircraft.

  Coordinate workflow, priorities, and shift handoffs with DOM and ADOM.

  n

• n

  Ensure accurate and compliant maintenance documentation.

  n
n
• n

  Mentor and train junior mechanics and apprentices.

  n
n
• n

  Assist with parts coordination, tool control, and hangar organization.

  n
n
• n

  Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  n
n
• n

  Support projects related to 145 Repair Station development, audits, and operational efficiency.

n

Essential Skills

n
• n

  FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required.

  n
n
• n

  Minimum 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience (Part 135 or 145 preferred).

  n

• n

  Strong understanding of FAA regulations and maintenance tracking systems (CAMP, CASS).

  n

• n

  Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

n

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• n

  Prior lead or supervisory experience strongly preferred.

  n

• n

  Experience with Learjet and Challenger aircraft preferred.

  n

• n

  Heavy maintenance on corporate jets preferred - Falcon, Gulfstream, Learjet, Hawker, Cessna, Challenger, Legacy.

  Own tools and be open to overtime work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
