Penn Waste has an immediate opening for a Skilled Diesel Mechanic for 2nd Shift to join our GROWING team at our site in Manchester, PA.

As an integral member of our automotive maintenance technicians team, you will focus on the comprehensive maintenance of our transportation vehicles and equipment. Your responsibilities will include inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical systems, hydraulics, suspension, brake, and air systems. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Initiate or assign repairs using vehicle computer systems to analyze failure modes.

• Manage necessary paperwork using our fleet maintenance software to track vehicle repairs, parts usage, and repair times.

• Review and complete repairs noted on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.

• Conduct safety inspections on vehicles and equipment to ensure compliance.

• Respond to emergency breakdown service calls.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with corporate and OSHA standards.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• A minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in diesel mechanics.

• Experience in the waste industry is preferred but not necessary .

• Flexibility to adapt to a variety of work environments.

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
