Location: 65 Commercial Blvd, Torrington (10413)
Shift: 8am to 1:30pm, Monday through Friday, with 1 weekend per month and 1 Major and 2 Minor holidays per year.
As a CNA, your work will impact the lives of others directly. Here’s what you will do:
- Provide personal care and housekeeping assistance in clients’ homes, adhering to the established plan of care.
- Assist clients with personal hygiene and grooming care.
- Prepare meals to meet clients' nutritional needs.
- Report changes in clients' conditions to the client care coordinator or supervisor.
- Perform routine housekeeping and home management duties.
- Document each client's care on the care plan and ensure timely submission.
- Respond sensitively to the complex needs of terminal clients, including providing end-of-life care.
- Assist clients with routine therapy exercises.
- Participate in case conferences as requested.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Licensure/Certification: CNA Certificate approved by the Connecticut Department of Public Health and Addiction Services (required).
- Experience: Six months of experience as a Home Care Aide/CNA in a home care agency (preferred).
