Join Our Team as a Medical Assistant!
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to enhance our patient care experience by ensuring efficient patient flow in our healthcare practice. Your role will involve a variety of clinical and administrative responsibilities aimed at supporting our medical providers and delivering exceptional service to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain patient safety during their visits.
- Greet, assess, and interview patients to gather important health information.
- Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and current medications.
- Act as a liaison between patients and doctors, explaining medications, treatments, and health concerns.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures.
- Perform various clinical tasks including phlebotomy, administering injections, and conducting preliminary tests.
- Monitor patients' comfort and needs during their exams.
- Keep patient rooms clean and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring all patient inquiries are met with respect and confidentiality.
- Assist with front desk duties including check-ins, confirming insurance eligibility, and collecting co-pays.
- Support training and development of new team members.
- Complete any additional tasks as assigned to ensure a smooth running practice.
Qualifications:
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred or valid Emergency Medical Technician License.
- Prior internship or externship experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.
- Current or recent phlebotomy experience is essential.
