This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing the business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Principal Tech BD to join the Applied AI Solutions GTM acceleration team and work closely with senior leaders, to ensure that we are aligned and working as single organization to achieve our strategic goals. This role will be pivotal in driving the successful implementation of key strategic initiatives and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives, to achieve our vision as a single organization.

This function will Accelerate the Applied AI Solutions GTM strategy and growth (as defined by our Operating Plan) through strategic initiatives that transform our organizational capability and operational excellence. This position requires a strong understanding of the internal AWS and external Partner business dynamics, AWS field enablement and planning processes, the ability to make important data-driven decisions, and bias for action to implement strategies that enhance performance with speed.

You must be uncomfortable with status quo, curious about new programs and initiatives impacting our customers, partners, and employees, and possess the ability to ask the right questions. This function needs to have a bias for action, make informed decisions, demonstrating a proactive approach to projects and tasks. You must be comfortable taking risks and raising the bar for new ways of doing things. Strong analytical, Think Big, Invent & Simplify skills are crucial for success in this position.

Key job responsibilities

1. Design and implement structured geo engagement models and interlock cadences with Field VPs, Regional Leaders, and key stakeholders to drive unified execution of AAIS strategy and accelerated growth

2. Lead regular geo-specific business reviews and strategy sessions, tracking progress against key metrics and ensuring alignment with organizational goals

3. Develop and maintain comprehensive measurement frameworks to evaluate geo-specific initiatives, providing data-driven insights to optimize performance

4. Drive execution of geo-specific GTM plans and "Get to Green" initiatives, coordinating cross-portfolio activities across regions

5. Build and maintain strategic relationships with field leadership teams, serving as the primary liaison between AAIS GTM leaders and regional stakeholders

6. Partner with Strategic Initiative teams to set priorities and ensure seamless integration of cross-area initiatives across the organization

7. Work closely with Operations teams to facilitate smooth execution of business rhythms and strategic programs

8. Surface key challenges, opportunities, and recommendations to leadership through regular reporting and strategic insights

9. Foster cross-organizational alignment by effectively communicating strategy, goals, and progress across all levels of the organization, including the AAIS Service team.

10. Dive deep into business dynamics by collecting meaningful data, anecdotes, insights, and trends

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience

• Bachelor's degree

• Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

• Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations

• Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders

• Experience building strategic relationships with stakeholders, including communicating and collaborating across teams and functions

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA

• Experience explaining complex technical concepts to various business and technical audiences

• Experience completing complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance and react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
