Job Posting At Denny Sanford PREMIER Center

At the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center, Convention Center and Arena, this position is responsible for general maintenance of the facility grounds. May be subject to adverse weather conditions in this position. Year-round position that includes grounds maintenance and snow removal when needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operates grounds maintenance equipment in a safe manner including, but not limited to mowers, weed eaters, utility carts, pick-ups with snowplows, skid-steers, and hand tools.
• Perform manual tasks such as: mowing, trimming, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking and snow removal.
• Clean grounds and parking lots before, during and after events.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age and demonstrate the ability to read, write, hear, and speak English.
• Must pass a background check & have a valid driver's license.
• Position performs most duties outside and may be subject to adverse weather conditions. Reasonable accommodation will be considered for those with disabilities.

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to stand for long periods of time and climb stairs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed.
• Ability to handle and control powered equipment and perform minor maintenance.

This position requires good vision, hearing, and dexterity. Long periods of standing, walking, lifting, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and crouching on concrete, ice surfaces, staircases, etc., including slippery and uneven surfaces. Lifting and moving up to 50 lbs. over a period of time. This position requires work in both indoor and outdoor settings and may be subject to adverse conditions.
