GC Legal Conflicts Counsel
Location: Multiple Offices (Remote Eligible)
Compensation: $75,000 - $160,000 annually (DOE, location, and qualifications)
About the Role
Direct Counsel is representing an Am Law 100 firm seeking a Legal Conflicts Counsel to join its Office of General Counsel. This full-time position may be based in any of the firm's office locations and offers the flexibility to work remotely. The role involves daily conflicts review and analysis, with an emphasis on ethical and business conflicts resolution, as well as broader professional responsibility duties.

Responsibilities
- Review conflicts of interest reports as part of the firm's new business intake process
- Identify and resolve ethical and business conflicts of interest for new and existing matters
- Provide guidance on professional responsibility issues to attorneys and staff
- Collaborate with firm leadership and teams on conflicts processes and procedures
- Support the General Counsel's office with additional ethics-related responsibilities
- JD from an accredited law school; active bar membership in good standing in candidate's jurisdiction
- 2-4 years of broad law firm experience , with prior conflicts experience strongly preferred
- Strong command of the Model Rules of Professional Conduct
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High degree of judgment, ethics, and professionalism
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a business-oriented, solutions-driven approach
- Experience with Intapp new business intake/conflicts software is highly desired
- Competitive salary range of $75,000 - $160,000 , commensurate with experience and location
