Field Service Technician

We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician with strong mechanical aptitude and electrical experience as well. This role involves working with hydraulic systems, sensors, and electrical schematics. Your main duties will include installation, maintenance, testing, and preventative maintenance.

There will be mainly day travel for this role with being home at night. There will be an occasional overnight involved here and there.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals accurately.
• Troubleshoot AC/DC motors, circuit boards, and fuses.
• Perform MIG welding as needed.
• Work with mechanical systems including motors, pumps, gears, and hydraulics.
• Travel 20-40% of the year for 3-5 days at a time, ensuring you are home every weekend.
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding equipment.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in reading and understanding electrical schematics.
• Mechanical aptitude with experience in hydraulics, motors, gears, and pumps.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems, including AC/DC backgrounds.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with PLC troubleshooting and program edits.
• Knowledge of automation, repair, and service techniques.

Work Environment

Work the 1st shift from Monday to Friday, starting at 6am and ending when the job is complete, averaging 45 hours a week. Operate across three locations in Hopkins, collaborating with a small team of 2 Controls Technicians, 2 Service Technicians, a Controls Designer, and a Controls Programmer.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
