Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, and homeowners.
- Conduct outside sales calls and site visits to grow customer base and expand accounts.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on lumber, doors, and other building materials.
- Prepare and follow up on quotes and sales orders.
- Stay informed about new products, trends, and construction industry developments.
- Support customer satisfaction by ensuring timely communication and quality service.
- Collaborate with inside sales and customer service teams to ensure seamless project support.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in outside or inside sales, preferably in the building materials or hardware industry.
- Strong knowledge of lumber, doors, and construction-related products.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and develop strategies to grow business in new territory.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Ability to read blueprints or construction drawings is a plus.
- Bachelor\'s degree preferred.
- Valid driver\'s license and reliable transportation required.
