Primary Purpose: Manage field appraisal assignments for corporate fleets and insurance clients, with a focus on automotive evaluations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule same-day appointments, perform inspections within 24 hours, and write car-side estimates.
- Complete 6 to 10 estimates per day, depending on the location.
- Ensure thorough vehicle evaluation and analysis.
- Determine appropriate repair time and required labor operations.
- Make accurate decisions regarding repairs or replacements.
- Assess pre-existing damage and conduct total loss evaluations.
- Negotiate prices with shop decision-makers and establish deadlines according to client guidelines.
- Evaluate the validity of supplement requests.
- Provide customers with clear information on repair estimates and claims processes.
- Maintain accurate records for vehicle repair estimates.
- Negotiate advanced fees for towing, teardown, and storage for total loss vehicles.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to all parties involved in the claims process.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Be available for desk appraisal work and assist the quality assurance team when not in the field.
Qualifications:
Education: Preferred Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, with necessary licensing and professional certifications as required.
Experience: Minimum of four (4) years of insurance or body shop experience.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong technical knowledge of auto appraisals.
- Familiarity with client operations and labor regulations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and PC applications.
- Strong analytical and interpretative skills.
- Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient negotiation abilities.
- Sound judgment and discretion.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities effectively.

- Able to meet or exceed performance competencies.
- Experience with CCC One is preferred.
Work Environment: This position requires independent work in the field, where you will manage your local territory and schedule your workday effectively.
Mental Demands: Strong critical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage stress and multiple priorities; and meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements: Proficient computer keyboarding and ability to travel locally as required.
Auditory/Visual: Capable of hearing, seeing, and communicating effectively.

Pay Transparency: Sedgwick complies with pay transparency laws and provides a salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 annually for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience and location. A comprehensive benefits package is available, including medical, dental, vision, 401k and matching, PTO, disability and life insurance, employee assistance, and other optional benefits.
