Guidehouse Product Managers are highly skilled and experienced in overseeing the development and maintenance of our Appian-based solutions, ensuring that they meet the needs of our federal clients and comply with all applicable regulations and standards. Our Product Manager plays significant role in client delivery, proposal support, new business opportunity identification, knowledge management, and materially influence the successful outcome of specific objectives of the Guidehouse Appian practice growth.

Work closely with clients to identify, prioritize, and document business requirements for Appian-based solutions.

Oversee the development of Appian applications, ensuring they meet the client's requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.

Collaborate with development teams to ensure that solutions are designed, developed, and tested to meet client needs and comply with all applicable regulations and standards.

Manage the Appian development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance activities.

Provide guidance and support to development teams to ensure that they are following best practices and using Appian development tools and techniques effectively.

Maintain Appian certifications and stay up-to-date with the latest Appian features, capabilities, and best practices.

Maintain Appian applications and ensure they remain up-to-date and compliant with industry standards.

Provide training and support to end-users on Appian applications.

Develop new concepts and methodologies to improve people, procedures, and information technology solutions.

Contribute to an environment where people and technology thrive together to accomplish more than they could apart.

Participate in practice development and continuously look to improve the delivery model and implementation process.

Contribute to thought leadership across the platform including ideation and design of new accelerators.

Follow and understand new Appian product and technical capabilities resulting from product releases and acquisitions.

Provide expert-level assistance, coaching and mentoring to junior staff.

US Citizenship and must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust security clearance; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of clearance prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, etc.

A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience including at least four (4) years of experience in Appian development.

Active Appian certifications and ability to achieve additional relevant certifications upon hire.

Must be local to the DC/Metro area.

Strong knowledge of Appian platform, including Appian SAIL, Process Modeler, and Rules.

Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations.

Strong understanding of Appian development best practices.

Proven ability to design and optimize business processes and integrate processes across disparate systems, incorporating best practices.

Selected candidate must be able to work Eastern Standard Hours.

Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation.

Excellent client-facing written and oral communications skills, relationship focus, and strong technical and business acumen.

Detail-oriented with the ability to quickly assimilate and apply new concepts, business models, and technologies.

Strong problem-solving skills, ability to multi-task, and a high degree of emotional intelligence.

Project management experience in a technology or consulting setting in an agile development environment.

Experience identifying and documenting business process requirements, developing process flow analysis, data modeling, functional design experience, and creating project plans.

Experience with Java development with Maven builds.

2+ years of recent work experience on a software development project in a federal government setting.

Exposure to common industry platforms and programming languages Appian BPM, IBM WebSphere, Mule, LAMP/JBOSS, HADOOP, Java, Microsoft/.Net.

Experience in Enterprise Application Integration (SOA, ESB) and n-tier client-server architectures.

Prior experience working as Customer Help Desk support and/or production application support.

Experience working with data synced record types.

An 'early adopter' mindset for new Appian platform features.
