Job Highlights:

Schedule: Full-time
Pay Rate: Starting at $30.93/hour with daily pay available!
Shift Differentials: Available for night, weekend, and extra shifts
Location: SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital, St. Louis, MO

As a Radiology Technician, you will take x-rays and perform essential imaging procedures that are vital for diagnostics and treatment. Your role will not only involve technical skills but also patient interaction, education, and support.

Key Responsibilities:

Explain procedures to patients to ensure their understanding and comfort.
Transport patients and prepare them for exams by ensuring proper positioning.
Adhere to radiation safety standards to protect both patients and yourself.
Administer contrast media and medications per protocols and regulations.
Observe patients during procedures and report any abnormalities.
Ensure high-quality images are submitted to PACS.
Maintain cleanliness and order in the department.
Possibly perform limited CT procedures as needed.
Stay alert and work safely at all times.
Take on additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Completion of a Radiology Technology program.
ARRT certification (ARRT-R) within 6 months of hire.
No prior experience necessary, making this a great entry point into the field.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Frequent lifting and moving of patients and equipment.
Capability to use vision and hearing to communicate effectively and monitor patient conditions.

Certifications Required:

Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS) - AHA
ARRT-R Radiography or ARRT-BD Bone Density certification.
