What You'll Be Doing as a Behavior Therapist

• Implement one-on-one ABA therapy to assist children with Autism in reaching their potential by following treatment plans, collecting data, documenting progress, and utilizing feedback from supervisors during observation sessions.
• Encourage development in children aged 18 months to 8 years through engaging and enjoyable therapeutic activities.
• Collaborate with your team to enhance treatment effectiveness and ensure a safe, cheerful working environment.
• Engage with children through active play, movement, and imitation, fostering a joyful atmosphere.
• Communicate positively with stakeholders (e.g., peers, families, supervisors) to coordinate activities and celebrate achievements.

Job Requirements

• Physical ability to lift and interact with children in a lively environment, including the capacity to lift up to 30 lbs, bend, squat, move around, and run to stay actively engaged.
• Maintain a therapy-conducive environment by ensuring play areas are tidy, organized, and stimulating for children's experiences.
• Multitask effectively to balance various actions and decisions while prioritizing safety for all involved.
• Support teamwork by collaborating with your center, neighborhood, and region, which may involve travel to nearby locations as assigned.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required.
• You must be at least 18 years old and have a High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Complete the RBT certification process within 20 days of employment by passing a 40-hour training curriculum, hands-on competency assessment, registering for an exam, and passing the board's exam.

Pay Ranges Based on Experience & Education:

• Associates/High School: $16.20 - $23.50
• Bachelors: $17.50 - $27.00
• Masters: $19.00 - $28.00

Your first raise as an entry-level candidate will be earned upon certification as RBT, achievable typically within 21 days.

Relevant Experience is a Plus:

• Childcare (nanny, babysitter, preschool teacher, tutor, etc.)
• Mental health professions (behavioral health technicians)
• Camp counselors or volunteers
• Degrees in teaching, special education, sociology, psychology, or related fields
• Experience as paraprofessionals or life skills assistants
• Passion for working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
• Willingness to join a caring, team-oriented culture
