As an Armed Security Officer Government Patrol in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within government locations. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. You will interact with the public and staff, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication at all times. This position is an armed post and requires a valid armed guard card/license. Additionally, a valid driver's license is required as this is a driving post. Pay Rate: $24.74/Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTime Wed 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Sun 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor for unusual activity and report any incidents or suspicious behavior according to established protocols.
• Interact with the public and staff in a professional manner, providing assistance as needed.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and communicate any security-related issues to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
• Support access control measures and verify credentials as required by site-specific policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations.
• Handcuff, pepper spray, and baton certifications are preferred.
• Possess a valid driver's license and meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements if the position involves driving.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
