Engineering Technician

Our client, a leader in the electric vehicle industry, is seeking an Engineering Technician to join their team. As an Engineering Technician, you will be part of the engineering department supporting innovative projects. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Engineering Technician

Location: South San Francisco, CA

Pay Range: up to $35 per hour

What's the Job?

• Set up and run engineering experiments, including safety tests, characterization tests, and field tests.
• Support marketing activities by ensuring marketing vehicles are in functional condition.
• Maintain test assets (vehicles, bucks, mules, and test rigs) and prepare them for testing, evaluation, and demonstration.
• Help with troubleshooting and failure analysis of components.
• Fabricate prototype parts and test articles.

What's Needed?

• 3-5 years experience working with electric vehicles and/or electronics.
• Experience with data acquisition systems and Labview or other GUIs.
• Experience instrumenting test articles with sensors such as accelerometers, thermocouples, electrical sensors, etc.
• Experience creating custom wire harnesses.
• Experience soldering and instrumenting circuit boards.
