Job Details
A leading emergency response staffing agency is currently seeking qualified Respiratory Therapists to join its rapid-response team in Louisiana. This role will support statewide deployments and requires quick credentialing to partner with the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH).
About the Opportunity:
- Hybrid or Remote: On-site requirement at various LDH locations
- Shift: Day (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) and Night (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Schedule: Flexible deployment based on emergency needs
- Hours: 12-hour shifts
- Setting: Various medical operation sites across Louisiana
The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for:
- Conducting patient assessments and monitoring cardiopulmonary status
- Administering respiratory treatments and managing oxygen therapy
- Performing diagnostic evaluations and supporting disease management
- Providing ventilator management and emergency airway support
- Educating and supporting patients with chronic respiratory conditions
- Maintaining documentation, patient records, and compliance forms
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Acute Care, Critical Care, ER, Med-Surg, Behavioral Health, Chronic Disease, Wound & Ostomy, Geriatrics, or Pediatrics
- Active, unencumbered Respiratory Therapist license (Louisiana compliance may be required)
- BLS/CPR certification required; ACLS preferred
- Skilled in patient assessment, diagnostic evaluation, and cardiopulmonary therapy
- Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable in emergency/disaster settings
- Experience in emergency response or medical operation settings
- Relevant certifications such as ACLS
- Proficiency in ventilator management
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in dynamic environments
