Electronic Assembler

Assemble mechanical parts, pieces, or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications. This role involves working in a specific area of production for various housings, control panels, and automation controls.

Responsibilities:

• Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
• Utilize handheld tools such as a handheld screw and drill gun.
• Perform soldering, which involves joining two or more metal items by melting and flowing a filler metal (solder) into the joint.
• Maintain inventory of products in workstations.
• Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
• Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
• Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
• Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Essential Skills:

• 1-2 years of electrical assembly experience may be required.
• Basic blueprint reading skills and the ability to follow directions.
• Basic computer navigation and utilization skills.
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
• Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve problems and generate new concepts or ideas.
• High attention to detail and self-motivation skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Specific technical or vocational training or certification may be required.
• May be required to pass a ruler test.

Work Environment:

Work in a clean, well-lit, and organized environment that almost has an R&D type feel. The work setting is smaller and not very loud. Typical work hours are from 6 AM to 2:30 PM or 8 AM to 4:30 PM.

Job Type & Location:

This is a contract to hire position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
