EDM Programmer

Join a dynamic family-owned machining shop in Warren, MI, known for its clean environment and state-of-the-art machinery. As an EDM Programmer, you will be part of a job shop where every task is unique, creating tooling for cold header/fastener machines, as well as for the construction and aerospace industries. The shop receives weekly orders and produces between 50 - 60 million parts annually.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily setup, programming, running, and inspection of parts on Sinker/Ram EDM machines.
• Program using either manual methods or Mastercam from scratch.
• Execute all machine operations from start to finish, including setup, tool changes, offsets, and programming of controllers.
• Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Utilize personal toolbox and tools effectively.
• Employ measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges.
• Work primarily with steel materials, maintaining tight tolerances.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience running Sinker/Ram EDM machines.
• Proficiency with controls: LN2, LQ1, SP.
• Expertise in reading blueprints.
• Experience with programming on the person or Mastercam from scratch.
• Ability to hold tight tolerances in machining.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Mastercam programming experience.
• Tooling experience for fasteners.

Job Type & Location

This is a contract to hire position based out of Warren, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
