Compensation and Benefits

• Pay: $30.50 - $31.06 per hour based on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment to ensure safety and reliability.
• Execute annual inspections on all fleet vehicles as per legal and regulatory requirements.
• Implement quality maintenance repairs to maintain the operational efficiency of fleet vehicles.
• Address any issues from Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports promptly.
• Diagnose and repair a variety of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, and more according to manufacturer specifications.
• Document all maintenance work performed accurately and follow company procedures.
• Continuously enhance your skills in Sysco's computer programs and tools.
• Perform electrical testing and repairs and complete welding projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical training in Medium/Heavy Duty trucks preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of 1-year hands-on experience in fleet maintenance or 3 years of related experience.
• Licenses: Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Certifications: Annual Inspector Certification and Brake Inspector Certification required; ASE and 609 HVAC certifications preferred.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of computer-based diagnostic tools and vehicle systems.
• Ability to perform comprehensive electrical repairs and basic welding.
• Physical stamina to handle the demands of maintenance reparations, including lifting up to 100 lbs.
• Understanding of DOT regulations and safety standards.

Work Environment

• Work under variable conditions, including outdoor environments and mechanical settings.
• Willingness to work non-traditional hours including evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
• Possible travel to corporate office or other locations for training.
