Diesel Mechanic

Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Mechanic where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing industrial equipment. Your expertise will ensure the equipment runs smoothly, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repair on industrial diesel equipment
• Troubleshoot and address mechanical issues effectively to prevent downtime.
• Work with diesel engines, generators, and air compressors.
• Be comfortable starting in the shop and transitioning to a Road Technician role after six months.
• Be on rotational call to service equipment as needed.

Essential Skills

• Experience with generators, diesel engines, and air compressors.
• Strong knowledge of diesel mechanics, including engines and transmissions.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency in using hand tools for mechanical repairs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in fleet and diesel maintenance.
• Own personal tools for the job.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7 am to 4 pm. After transitioning to a permanent role, you will be on rotational call to handle urgent repairs. The role initially starts in the shop with the opportunity to become a Road Technician.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
