Demand Planning Specialist
We are seeking a dedicated Demand Planning Specialist to join our premier manufacturing team in Northern Kentucky. This role is pivotal in enhancing production efficiency and customer satisfaction through expert management of production schedules and inventory levels. The ideal candidate will be entrusted with the development of production plans based on multifaceted data analysis, ensuring alignment between customer forecasts and production capabilities.
Salary: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop detailed production plans using customer forecasts and historical production and shipment data.
Analyze performance data and demand patterns to optimize asset utilization and monitor manufacturing capacity.
Set and maintain inventory levels and production sizes to balance profitability and customer service.
Coordinate with Customer Service regularly to share updates on demand and inventory statuses.
Facilitate collaborative sessions with production schedulers to align planning with customer requirements.
Manage communication with internal and external stakeholders to review demand patterns, forecast adjustments, and inventory status, including aging inventory.
Perform departmental key performance indicator (KPI) reporting as required.
Provide backup coverage for other planning roles as needed.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Demand Planner, Production Planner, or Demand Analyst within a manufacturing setting.
Strong background in customer forecasting and inventory management.
Demonstrable analytical skills with a strong focus on data and analytics in decision-making.
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with customers and various internal teams.
Educational degree in relevant field is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools and inventory management software.
Experience in managing multiple product lines in a high-volume environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
Capacity to train and mentor other team members on demand planning processes.

Expert in using ERP systems for demand planning and inventory management.
Strong negotiation skills to effectively manage supplier and customer expectations.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Detail-oriented with an aptitude for analyzing large datasets.
Leadership skills with the ability to drive process improvements.
