Customs Operations Manager - Port Huron, MI

As the Customs Operations Manager, you'll play a critical role in managing and coordinating customs clearance activities to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing and streamlining customs clearance activities, ensuring timely and compliant processing.
- Training and implementing policies and procedures that uphold our service standards.
- Leading and developing a talented team, providing coaching and performance management.
- Driving strategic initiatives for International Ocean and Air Entries, focusing on performance and productivity.
- Collaborating on policy development to enhance our customs operations.
- Building relationships with clients through regular communication including business reviews.
What We're Looking For:
- Extensive knowledge of importing regulations and customs brokerage practices.
- Proven ability to create a vision for customs operations that balances compliance with customer and shareholder value.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skillsverbal, written, and interpersonal.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including spreadsheets and databases.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in coaching and developing staff.
- Financial acumen, including budgeting experience.
- A BS/BA degree with 6 years of related experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role.
- A Customs Brokerage License is required.
- In-depth understanding of ACE and experience with US Customs regulations and PGAs.
- Familiarity with Northern Border Customs Entries (Canada to USA).
- Familiarity with Ocean and Air U.S. Customs entries.
Pay Range: $84,675.00 - $112,900.00+ (Based on Experience)
