Shift Detail: This position is weekdays second shift. It also has rotating every other weekend that is first shift.

Key Responsibilities:
Direct Patient Care:
- Conduct comprehensive emergency psychiatric assessments and interpret patients' psychiatric and psychosocial needs.
- Advocate for patients and create tailored discharge plans that address patient and family needs.
- Connect with community behavioral health and medical providers to ensure seamless clinical care coordination.
- Guide patients and family members to appropriate levels of care while delivering effective crisis intervention services.
- Collaborate with Emergency Department staff for coordinated care and disposition of psychiatric patients, ensuring team synergy across clinical settings.
- Document assessments and manage all patient case activities diligently.
- Initiate treatment plans for long-term patients collaboratively with healthcare providers.
Clinical Experience:
- Actively participate in quality and safety initiatives, including committees and aftercare calls, to enhance unit performance.
- Engage in developmental activities such as debriefings, team meetings, and clinical supervision to support continuous staff education.
- Contribute to improving the patient experience through teamwork and collaboration.
- Utilize resources efficiently for cost-effective patient care.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
- A minimum of two years' experience in a psychiatric setting is required, preferably within an emergency department or crisis role.
- Four years' experience in a psychiatric setting is preferred.
- Current CT license as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPC is mandatory.
- Proficient computer skills are essential.
- Ability to assess problems, make timely decisions, and determine effective solutions.
- Utilize supervision and team approaches to enhance patient assessment and intervention quality.
- Excellent communication skills, fostering strong relationships across teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrate competencies aligned with the age-specific needs of patients.
- Prioritize personal, patient, and team safety.
- Seek continuous self-improvement by identifying and pursuing personal learning needs and resources.
- Recognize and address health disparities and injustices affecting client access to care and services.
- Cultivate cultural competence by understanding diverse client backgrounds and integrating this knowledge into patient practices.
