Position Overview
Our client is seeking a skilled Drywall Project Manager/Estimator to oversee commercial and residential drywall projects from bidding through completion. Our client is seeking a skilled Drywall Project Manager/Estimator to oversee commercial and residential drywall projects from bidding through completion. This role combines estimating responsibilities with hands-on project management, requiring both technical expertise and strong leadership skills. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate drywall estimates, including labor, material, and equipment costs.
- Analyze drawings, blueprints, and specifications to develop competitive bids.
- Manage awarded projects from pre-construction through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Coordinate subcontractors, field crews, suppliers, and inspectors.
- Oversee scheduling, change orders, RFIs, and progress billing.
- Maintain strong client relationships and serve as the primary project contact.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Track project costs, budgets, and profitability.
- Provide regular reporting to senior management.
- 5+ years of experience in drywall estimating and project management.
- Strong knowledge of drywall, framing, acoustical ceilings, and related scopes of work.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with On-Screen Takeoff or similar tools preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and time management abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
