The Opportunity

As the Water Resources Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

• Manage all aspects of small Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC)/Service projects, including risk to cost, schedule, quality.
• Be responsible for the day-to-day successful execution of contracted engineering, procurement, and construction scope.
• Manage and lead small teams of multi-discipline professionals.
• Coordinate and integrate the activities associated with the engineering, procurement, construction, and startup elements of the project team.

Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.

Key Responsibilities

• Build client relationships throughout the South Florida geography to drive growth of the business.
• Lead business development efforts through the identification and capture of the services listed above.
• Interface with innovative stormwater, water quality, and planning partners to leverage new technologies and approaches for the benefit of our clients.
• Lead the execution of water resources projects and act as Project Manager for services including the following: Planning and/or design of stormwater improvements, including open channels, storm sewer systems, and stormwater detention/retention and retrofit facilities. Planning and/or design of green infrastructure and sustainable watershed measures, including structural BMPs. Planning and/or design of flood mitigation improvements, including dams, levees, reservoirs, and pump stations. Erosion and sediment control planning and design, including SWPPP development. Regulatory compliance and permitting efforts for USACE, FEMA, and other environmental permit submittals. Scenario planning efforts for SSO, stormwater, and TMDL compliance projects. The application of sophisticated watershed and receiving stream H&H and water quality models. Development of stormwater master plans and watershed management plans. Planning efforts related to supply diversification, collection/distribution system expansions and rehab and repair, etc.

Management Responsibilities

Acts as a project manager. Among responsibilities is management of a project team. The individual comprising this team may vary by project.

Preferred Qualifications

• 15+ years of water resources planning and design experience.
• Experience developing and executing planning and water resource projects. Have understanding with some or all of the following applications and models: HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, EPA/XP-SWMM, InfoWorks, ArcGIS.
• Experience with regulatory requirements and procedures.
• Drive client-facing/business development efforts.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

• Hybrid work schedule: 3 days in office and 2 days remote.
• Typical office environment, typical construction environment, extreme weather conditions, high noise level, safety hazards (electric currents, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to chemicals), atmospheric conditions (fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, poor ventilation). Sitting, walking, talking, hearing, reading, writing, keyboarding, driving, filing, reaching, stooping, crouching, bending, standing for extended periods of time, lifting or carrying up to 40 pounds.
