Job Details
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Machine Operator with a strong focus on coating processes to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the successful production of high-quality products by operating and maintaining various coating equipment, ensuring optimal performance, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
This is a full-time onsite role located in West Caldwell, NJ.
* The role is second shift: 2:15pm-10:30pm Mon-Fri
Responsibilities:
Coating Expertise:
* Deep understanding of knife over roll, reverse roll, gravure roll, and strip coating processes.
* Accurately calculate and maintain coat weights through gap adjustments and speed ratios.
* Proficient in the disassembly, cleaning, and assembly of solution supply components.
Equipment Operation & Maintenance:
* Perform machine setups, troubleshoot, and correct machine functions and tension settings during the manufacturing process.
* Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of equipment.
Quality Assurance:
* Meticulously document batch records and departmental logbooks in accordance with cGMPs and SOPs.
Safety & Compliance:
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Material Handling:
* Retrieve and return adhesives and coating solutions (drums, totes, and vessels) from warehouse and Mass Prep areas utilizing a pallet jack.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a pharmaceutical environment.
* At least 3 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
* Strong understanding of cGMPs and SOPs.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions.
* Strong math, problem-solving and analytical skills.
