We value our incredible Certified Nursing Assistants and want to ensure they practice at the top of their license to better optimize their skills and experience. We've also developed a career path framework for CNAs that clarifies paths to move, develop and advance CNA careers into nursing and other roles. The Certified Nursing Assistants provides direct and indirect nursing care under the direction of a RN and in accordance with policies and procedures.

Qualifications

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

• Six months previous CNA experience preferred
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Basic computer skills
• Previous customer service experience preferred
• High School diploma or GED required
• Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program required
• State registered CNA license required
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Training preferred. CPI training required if sitting with M-1 holds

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

At Penrose Hospital, a achieved Magnet hospital, the Medical and Surgical Unit 5th Floor has 24 beds, and the unit generally stays full year-round. We specialize in renal/diabetic, psychiatric and drug/alcohol issues, we also have a hemodialysis area on our unit as well. We have a great team environment. This team "plays" at work together and we "play" outside of work together. We genuinely care for each other in all aspects including being successful at work and having a work-life balance. Candidates interested must have a positive team-oriented attitude, are not afraid to ask questions and must exhibit compassion.

Pay Range

$18.00 - $25.25 / hour
