The role involves interpreting blueprints, using metrology software, and ensuring that products meet quality and engineering specifications. The CMM Operator will also be responsible for documenting inspection results and working closely with other departments to resolve quality issues.
Key Responsibilities:

- Programming: Write and edit CMM programs using metrology software MCOSMOS to automate inspection processes.
- Inspection and Measurement: Perform dimensional inspections on first articles, in-process parts, and final products using the CMM and other precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and customer specifications to determine measurement requirements.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Record and analyze measurement data to ensure compliance with tolerances and specifications. Identify and document any non-conformances.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and calibration of CMM equipment to ensure accurate and reliable operation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.

- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
- Strong math skills required.
- CMM fixture design experience is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot measurement issues.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
