Clinical Nurse III: Operating Room - Day Shift

Salary Range: $88,192.00 - $136,697.60

Position Summary:

The Registered Professional Nurse plays a crucial role in the operating room by assessing, coordinating, and managing the care of surgical patients from admission to discharge. This position emphasizes patient advocacy and collaboration with the surgical team to ensure the highest standard of care for our patients.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Implementing physician orders and administering medications in the sterile environment, while documenting accurately as per policies and regulations.
• Assessing and evaluating the needs and responses of patients to the care provided.
• Applying sound nursing judgment to manage patient care effectively.
• Guiding and directing ancillary staff while upholding professional nursing standards.
• Acting as the patient advocate during surgical procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree preferred).
• Current New York State Registered Nurse license.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; CNOR certification preferred.
• 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in a surgical setting preferred.
• Knowledge of quality improvement principles and ability to apply them in patient care.
