Clinical Intake Support Clerk

Performs various clerical tasks in support of the Intake, Scheduling and Supply departments including data entry of new referrals. Performs coding functions on intake and after care as needed. Position reports directly to the Director of Clinical Services.

• 1. Obtains and documents referrals and reimbursement information in a timely fashion
• 2. Identifies available reimbursement sources and documents on referral form timely and accurately
• 3. Monitors and tracks Sandata Electronic Visit Verification systems. Monitor and track Carewatch Electronic Visit Verification as needed
• 4. Enters weekly schedule for all employees into Sandata and validates the exceptions within Sandata.
• 5. Orders patient supplies using computer order entry system and telephone orders as needed
• 6. Back-up support for scheduling, intake and supplies
• 7. Other data entry in support of the Intake Department as assigned

EDUCATION

High School diploma

EXPERIENCE

Two to five year's medical office experience

SPECIAL SKILLS

Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and phone skills. Computer experience required. Knowledge of EPIC and Microsoft Office systems is a plus. Knowledge of medical supply terminology; wound, catheter and ostomy is helpful. Satisfactory work references.

PHYSICAL DEMAND

Light to medium work. Occasional handling of 10 to 35 pounds. Ability to sit for long periods of time. Must be able to speak clearly. Clear vision.
