JOB SUMMARY

Your role involves safely and efficiently transporting products from the warehouse using a tractor trailer, delivering and unloading products according to customer invoices and company standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Unload products from the trailer, manually or using a hand cart, in all weather conditions, and place them in designated customer storage areas as per specifications.
• Complete all necessary paperwork following company and governmental guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with food safety protocols and maintain sanitary conditions in the vehicle and warehouse.
• Build good relationships with customers through excellent service and clear communication.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent plus 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience. Completion of a tractor trailer driving school can substitute for or complement the educational requirement.

CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License. Must be insurable to operate a vehicle.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of DOT regulations; Hazmat guidelines; safe lifting and delivery practices.

Skills in driving long distances, navigating various terrains, and customer communication.

Ability to drive both day and night in different conditions; meet productivity levels; handle various product types; operate necessary equipment; read and speak English fluently; perform basic math; and plan and organize work activities independently.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to sit, talk, and hear. Often lift, push, or move products weighing up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 350 pounds with a hand cart; climb in/out of the vehicle; and perform various physical tasks during deliveries.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work conditions may include exposure to varying weather, mechanical parts, and confined spaces. Flexibility to work overnight schedules, including weekends and holidays, is required.
