Location: Birmingham, AL (downtown move planned), or Biloxi, MS, or Huntsville, AL

Schedule: M-F, 8-5 with occasional overtime

Compensation: ~ +/- $33.65/hr--$48.08/hr | ~ +/- $70--$100k + benefits

Position Overview

We're seeking a talented Civil Designer/Engineer to take on project design and review responsibilities, including design criteria, engineering studies, calculations, drawings, and specifications. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you'll oversee various civil design projects from concept through construction completion, ensuring quality, code compliance, and managing permits.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and review civil design work, with a focus on residential, multi-family, and small to medium commercial sites
• Manage project aspects including layout, grading, drainage, utility design, erosion control, and road networks
• Conduct field inspections, prepare reports, and independently ensure code and regulatory compliance
• Work with a close-knit team to deliver high-quality solutions on diverse projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering (preferred) or equivalent experience
• 3+ years in civil design, especially in land development for residential and commercial sites
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (required); Civil 3D experience (preferred)
• Strong industry knowledge in land development design and construction management
