UF Health Leesburg Hospital also offers advanced orthopedic surgery, stroke care, emergency services as well as labor and delivery care.

The hospital is part of UF Health Central Florida, a not-for-profit health care system and the largest most comprehensive provider of health care services in the region. UF Health Central Florida provides inpatient acute hospital services at UF Health Leesburg Hospital and UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital, inpatient rehabilitation services at UF Health Rehab Hospital The Villages and diagnostic laboratory services at several locations. Responsibilities:

The Certified Respiratory Therapist acts under the direction of the Director/Manager, utilizing Respiratory therapy processes based on American Association of Respiratory Care Guidelines, Statement of Ethics and Professional Conduct: facilitating patient care with the healthcare team, making respiratory assessment, implementing, delivering and evaluating the patient's respiratory therapy needs.

Qualifications:

Education:
- High School Diploma/GED with some college, business or technical training
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Florida Certification Respiratory Therapist
- BLS
- PALS
- NRP
- ACLS
Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required:
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- As applicable Respiratory staff assigned to maternal-child services will be required to have NRP and PALS certification. If employee does not have PALS or NRP by hire date, they must obtain within 90 days.
