Join our dynamic team as a specialized Allied Respiratory Therapist in Cardiovascular Intensive Care!
In this critical role, you will provide essential respiratory support to patients recovering from cardiovascular surgeries or facing serious heart conditions. Your skills will be fundamental in improving patient outcomes and enhancing their recovery process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients' respiratory conditions and create tailored treatment plans in collaboration with the CVICU team.
- Operate and manage life-support equipment, such as mechanical ventilators, to ensure optimal respiratory function.
- Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy and aerosol medications, as directed by attending physicians.
- Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and modify treatment plans based on clinical responses.
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and effective disease management strategies.
- Engage with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Work Environment:
- Be part of a hospital CVICU, working closely with critically ill cardiovascular patients who require intensive respiratory support.
- Demonstrate quick decision-making skills and maintain composure in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
